The Computer Forums - Free Worldwide Computer Community

2007-06-06

The Computer Forums are the online community on the World Wide Web. The web site is 1 year old and is powered by vBulletin. There are more than 9,000 members and 14,000 posts in this site. This site seems to work well in my Mozilla Firefox as well as Internet Explorer. There are no pop-ups and minimum advertisements.

The site is relatively fast, maybe because of the fact that it is powered by Linux servers. Users can also donate by clicking on the donate link. Donations are accepted to pay for their ever increasing bandwidth, hosting, domain registrations, maintanance and software licensing.

Overall the template designs are very sleek and simple and I think that works for this site. It is really simple and you are not supposed to be a computer geek to understand this site.

The colours scheme chosen for this site is white background with blue buttons and links.

The site gives an authentic look.

Registration is free and users are encouraged to post their files and software’s. There is a feedback options as well which allows the members to interact with the administrator and give their suggestions on the site. The site is updated regularly and there are no server problems. The number of active online users is displayed in the ending of the webpage.

There are a number of sub forums like hardware, software, off topic discussion and web masters home. The forums are kept alive by the members by posting new threads. And this way The Computer Forums has been successful in building a community where the members can interact and share their queries.
