BOGUS and inflated insurance claims are adding five per cent to premiums, a report has found.Bu t 41 per cent of drivers in Britain have never heard of staged accidents - where someone causes a collision to make a false or inflated claim.
Royal & SunAlliance carried out the study.
Spokesman John Beadle said: "Staged accidents are on the rise and are potentially extremely dangerous.
"Not only do they cost honest drivers millions of pounds each year, they also put innocent motorists in danger."
